Dogmetrix Dog Training Services - Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Dogmetrix, where we are dedicated to providing you and your canine companion with the highest quality force-free dog training. By choosing Dogmetrix, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

  1. Force-Free Training Commitment: Dogmetrix employs force-free training techniques, focusing on positive reinforcement and ethical treatment to encourage good behaviour in dogs. We strictly prohibit the use of aversive methods, including but not limited to physical punishment, fear, or intimidation. Our methods are designed to foster trust and a positive relationship between you and your dog.

  2. Client Cooperation: Success in training requires not only the expertise of our trainers but also the commitment and consistency from you, the client. You agree to follow the training plan and advice provided by Dogmetrix as closely as possible. We understand that every dog is unique, and adjustments may be necessary; however, the fundamental principles of the training plan should be adhered to.

  3. All fees must be paid at the time of booking. A booking cannot be made or confirmed without full payment.

  4. No Refund Policy on Non-compliance: Dogmetrix is committed to providing the highest level of service and expertise in dog training. However, the success of our training program also heavily depends on giving a true and accurate picture of your dog’s behaviour (i.e. the full extent of aggressive behaviours), your participation and implementation of the strategies provided. If Dogmetrix determines, in its sole discretion, that the lack of progress or regression in your dog’s behaviour is due to non-compliance with the training plan or advice given, any requests for refunds will not be honoured. This condition is in place to encourage your active participation and ensure the best outcomes for your dog.

  5. A 14 day statutory cancellation period is given after booking a service. If your booking is made within 14 days of the start of the service then you agree to waive your right to rely upon the 14 day statutory cooling off and cancellation period.

  6. If the Client makes the decision to re-home their dog once training and/or behaviour support has commenced, a refund will not be given for any sessions taken or the remainder of the sessions not used.

  7. If the Client moves outside of Dogmetrix service area once training and/or behaviour support has commenced, a refund will not be given for any sessions taken or the remainder of the sessions not used. The option to complete the sessions via zoom will be given.

  8. If the Client decides to terminate the booking/service once training and/or behaviour support has started, a refund will not be given for any sessions taken or the remainder of the sessions not used.

  9. Dogmetrix reserves the right to terminate the contract (at any time and with immediate effect and no refund) if any dog/s under the contract does not respond well to the training and/or behaviour support plan where continuing of said contract is deemed by Dogmetrix to constitute a risk.

  10. Dogmetrix reserves the right to terminate the contract (at any time and with immediate effect and no refund) if the Client or anyone with their dog is abusive towards any Dogmetrix staff or volunteers.

  11. Our methods are kind, ethical and effective. However, instant results are unlikely and training will take long term commitment from the Client to work with their dog throughout the duration of the booked sessions and beyond. It is the responsibility of the Client to practise the training and/or behaviour modification, and management strategies recommended by Dogmetrix to achieve the desired results.

  12. We do not endorse, nor do we utilise, the use of prong collars, e collars, choke/check chains. Any breach of our Welfare Standards may result in the withdrawal of our services to you.

  13. Our training and handling methods are kind and humane. Should we see any conduct or treatment which does not align with our approach we will terminate the delivery of our services immediately.

  14. Scheduling and Cancellations: We understand that schedules can change. If you need to reschedule a training session, please provide us with at least 72 hours' notice. Sessions canceled with less than 72 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. Repeated cancellations may result in termination of services without a refund.

  15. Liability Waiver: While Dogmetrix uses force-free training methods designed to be safe and non-threatening, we cannot assume liability for the health and safety of your dog or any person accompanying you to training sessions. You agree to hold Dogmetrix, its employees, and affiliates harmless from any claims of injury or damage that may arise during the training process.

  16. At all times during the session, your pet is entirely your responsibility. Even where the behaviourist or trainer is working alongside you.

  17. We will not take responsibility for any loss or damage caused by your pet. We accept no liability for any loss, injury, or damage to any person or property caused by you or your pet.

  18. We do not accept any liability when it is not possible to attend the session due to adverse weather or road conditions. Neither will we be responsible for any losses arising in circumstances where we become unable to deliver the services such as illness, bereavement, or circumstances beyond our control. In such circumstances we will make every effort to keep you updated and advised and an alternative session will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

  19. We make no guarantees or claims as to yours and your dog’s success as this is contingent on many different and variable factors. Each individual and their dog(s) are unique, and their abilities, temperament and behaviour are unique to them. All training/behaviour modification is acquired at different rates for each dog. You are responsible for implementing the advice and recommendations given. For behaviour consultation clients, it is your responsibility to provide the weekly updates requested in order for us to monitor, track and provide feedback on your progress.

  20. We are not responsible for any action or inaction which you take as a result of the information provided to you within the session(s).

  21. No content in the session(s) should be construed as veterinary or nutritional therapeutic advice. If you believe that your dog(s) requires veterinary attention you should seek assistance from a veterinary professional immediately.

  22. Any testimonials used within our marketing are provided freely and independently but they are illustrative only. We cannot guarantee results as to outcome or in respect of timescales.

  23. Nothing in these terms shall limit or exclude our liability in respect to fraudulent misrepresentation, death, or personal injury, resulting from our negligence, or any other liability which cannot be limited or excluded by law.

  24. All fees must be paid at the time of booking. A booking cannot be made or confirmed without full payment

  25. Payment is due in full on booking and at least 72 hours before your session, unless otherwise agreed.

  26. We reserve the right to terminate the services provided to you at our sole discretion. Grounds for termination include, but are not limited, to:

    a) Your failure to adhere to the Welfare Standards set out above;

    b) Any behaviour by you which we deem detrimental to our training session(s).

  27. In the event of termination, no refund will be provided for any services previously provided to you, subject to your statutory rights set out in these Terms and Conditions.

  28. Privacy Policy: Dogmetrix respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. Any personal information collected will be used solely for the purpose of providing training services and communicating with you regarding your dog’s training program.

Dogmetrix Dog Walking Services - Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Dogmetrix, where we are dedicated to providing you and your canine companion with the highest quality force-free walking service. By choosing Dogmetrix, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

  1. Acceptance of Terms: By engaging Dogmetrix for dog walking services, the client agrees to the terms and conditions set forth herein. These terms are subject to change at the discretion of Dogmetrix, with notice provided to the client.

  2. Services: Dogmetrix agrees to provide dog walking services as per the schedule and duration agreed upon with the client. This includes a walk of the agreed-upon length, ensuring the dog has access to water upon return, and any other services agreed upon at the time of booking.

  3. Liability: While every effort will be made to ensure the safety and well-being of your dog(s), Dogmetrix accepts no liability for any loss, injury, or death of any pet while under our care, except in cases of negligence or failure to perform the agreed-upon services. The client agrees to ensure their dog is up-to-date with vaccinations, in good health, and not aggressive towards other animals or people. Dogmetrix reserves the right to terminate services if a pet poses a danger to the safety or health of its walkers.

  4. Force-Free Commitment: Our company is steadfast in its commitment to a force-free approach towards all animals under our care. This philosophy is rooted in kindness, respect, and understanding of the dogs' needs, ensuring their safety and well-being are always prioritised. To uphold these values, we strictly prohibit the use of aversive training methods or equipment, including but not limited to shock collars, choke chains, and prong collars, during any interactions with the dogs, whether directly under our supervision or indirectly under the care of their owners. We appreciate the trust our clients place in us to care for their pets and, in return, ask for a shared commitment to these force-free principles. By choosing our services, clients agree to respect and adhere to this policy, ensuring a safe and positive experience for all involved. Dogmetrix reserves the right to end our services if clients are found to be using aversive training methods.

  5. Cancellations: The client must provide a minimum of 48 hours' notice for cancellations. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled service will be charged at 50%. Cancellation made less than 24 hours before the scheduled service will be charged in full. Dogmetrix reserves the right to cancel services at any time due to severe weather, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances that would make walking unsafe.

  6. Payments: Payment for dog walking services must be made in advance or at the time of service, as agreed upon. Late payments may result in a temporary suspension of services until the account is settled.

  7. Key Holding: Should Dogmetrix be entrusted with keys to the client’s property, they will be securely stored and only used for the purpose of providing the agreed-upon services. Dogmetrix accepts no liability for any loss or damage to the property except in cases of negligence.

  8. Privacy: All personal information provided by the client will be kept confidential and only used for the purpose of providing the agreed-upon services.

  9. Agreement: These terms and conditions represent the whole agreement between Dogmetrix and the client. By booking a service, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
